Join the Living Legacy Circle
Then, a Club — a Community. Now, a Home.

What is the Living Legacy Campaign?
For generations, The Rehearsal Club provided more than just a bed for young women in the performing arts. It was a lifeline—a place where they found safety, sisterhood, and support as they launched their careers in New York City.
Today, we carry that same spirit forward with renewed purpose.
The Living Legacy Campaign invites alumni, friends, and supporters to help us build a lasting future—by including The Rehearsal Club in your wills, trusts, retirement plans, or life insurance.
Your Legacy, Their Future
Our vision is bold and clear: a permanent home where future generations of women in the performing arts can live, grow, and thrive. Legacy gifts will ensure long-term sustainability while honoring The Rehearsal Club’s remarkable history.
When you join our Living Legacy Circle, you become part of a community that stretches across generations—those who once called The Rehearsal Club home, and those who will in the years to come.
Together, we’re not just remembering what was - we’re building the foundation for our permanent home.
What is a Legacy Gift?
A Legacy Gift allows you to support The Rehearsal Club in your estate plans. A legacy gift might also reduce the tax burden placed on your beneficiaries. Your financial advisors can help you determine what type of legacy gift is right for you.
Your legacy gift can be any portion of your estate assets, ensuring that both The Rehearsal Club and your beneficiaries will benefit from your generosity. A gift of any size makes you part of the Living Legacy Circle.
- Cash bequest: Through a simple adjustment to your will, either in the body or through a codicil, which you can add without re-writing your entire will, you can designate a portion of your estate to The Rehearsal Club—either a specific amount or a percentage. A residual bequest designates all or a portion to The Rehearsal Club after other bequests, debts, or expenses. A contingent bequest can be made in the event that your primary beneficiaries do not survive you.
- Beneficiary designation: Many financial assets—such as pensions, IRAs, and some bank accounts—have a “payable on death” provision.
- Intellectual property/royalties: Your success can provide a legacy for other women through your donation of intellectual property or royalties.
- Life insurance: You can donate all or a portion of your life insurance proceeds to The Rehearsal Club.
- Living trust beneficiary: If you have created a revocable living trust, The Rehearsal Club can be a remainder beneficiary of your trust.
- Real property: A gift of real estate can provide your estate with a deduction for the value of the property and may also provide some relief from capital gains taxes.
- Investments: Stocks, bonds or other investments can be an easy alternative to a cash bequest and may also provide relief from capital gains taxes.
- Collectibles: Your gift may consist of artwork, antiques, or other collectibles bequeathed to The Rehearsal Club.
- Retirement plans: You can designate The Rehearsal Club as the sole beneficiary or one of several beneficiaries of your retirement plan. Retirement plans are often subject to higher tax rates. A donation of these assets to The Rehearsal Club can reduce the tax burden on your estate.
